Honoring our HCA Healthcare Veterans

On this Veterans Day, HCA Healthcare would like to extend our gratitude to the U.S. military veterans who have honorably served our great country.  In particular, we would like to honor all of our colleagues who are military veterans, along with their spouses and families.

As we honor our veterans, let’s always remember their service and sacrifice.  No matter when someone served or in what capacity, it’s never too late to thank them.  A simple, but heartfelt, “thank you for your service” will honor those who selflessly served our country and protected our freedoms.

I am proud to share the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation last night named HCA Healthcare as the national recipient of the 5th Annual Hiring Our Heroes Lee Anderson Veteran and Military Spouse Employment Award.  HCA Healthcare was nominated because of our demonstrated efforts to connect veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses with meaningful employment opportunities.

Hiring military veterans and military spouses is the right thing to do to honor those who have served, and it is the right thing to do for our business. Our commitment to the recruitment, hiring and retention of military veterans and military spouses continues to grow. We salute those veterans who have relaunched their careers with HCA Healthcare, along with all of those who have served this great country.

On behalf of all military veterans and active service members, HCA Healthcare will donate $10,000 to the Nashville-based Operation Stand Down – the only Veteran Service Center in Tennessee recognized by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs – and a $50,000 national gift to REBOOT Combat Recovery to help launch a national online resource hub for veterans battling post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) across the United States.
