HCA Healthcare co-founder Dr. Tommy Frist, Jr., Chairman and CEO Milton Johnson, First Lady Crissy Haslam and Nashville Mayor Megan Barry last Friday celebrated our nearly 50-year history in Tennessee with the dedication of 1100 Charlotte at Capitol View – the company’s new 17-story building in Nashville.
The 1100 Charlotte building serves as headquarters for our subsidiaries HealthTrust, Sarah Cannon and Parallon, and is the anchor tenant for a new development called Capitol View. Redefining Nashville’s skyline, the $200 million investment is bringing close to 2,000 jobs to the area and will serve as a catalyst for growth in the neighborhood known as the North Gulch.
As part of the construction project, we also made a commitment of 20 percent contracting with minority- and women-owned businesses – a goal we exceeded at approximately 32 percent.
Thanks to their work, and the support of many at the state and local level, our new 560,000 square foot building includes 430,000 square feet of office space, a full-service café and fitness center, modern conference rooms and retail spaces with street and lobby access.
The new 1100 Charlotte location was the best solution to meet our growing needs, and marks a new addition to our nearly 50-year legacy in Nashville.
