About
Welcome to HCA Today
HCA Healthcare opened for business in 1968. Our mission then is the same now – we work to improve lives in the communities we serve through the medical facilities we operate.
So you may be wondering why a large healthcare provider like HCA decided to start a blog. Well, there are a couple of reasons:
1. We have something to say. As one of the largest provider of healthcare services in the U.S., we experience the healthcare system on an incredible scale. We see what does and what doesn’t work on a regular basis. And while we certainly don’t have all the answers, we do have a perspective and opinion we want to contribute to the growing healthcare conversation; which leads us into the second reason.
2. We want to hear what you have to say. We have a lot to discuss. Clinical quality, patient safety, community involvement, sustainability in healthcare, improving healthcare consumer education and more. But it’s not just about our perspective or opinion. We want to hear what you think too. We invite you to comment on any of our posts as long as you observe our terms of use.
Please take a look around the site at some of our recent posts. Thanks!
