Every minute, three more people are diagnosed with cancer in the U.S.
Cancer affects all of us – whether personally or in our circle of family and friends. Our stories can inspire and empower people facing cancer today and their caregivers.
This fall, Sarah Cannon, the Cancer Institute of HCA Healthcare, introduced Letter to Me.
Letter to Me is the title of a #1 hit song by Brad Paisley, Country artist and ambassador for Sarah Cannon’s Band Against Cancer campaign, about a letter he would write to his 17-year-old self. Sarah Cannon is using the concept of letter writing to reach patients and their families in a new and impactful way.
Everyone has a story to tell, and now you can empower someone facing cancer today by sharing your personal story in a letter.
It is simple to get involved.
- First, visit BandAgainstCancer.com/LetterToMe and choose if you would like your letter sent to a person facing cancer or a caregiver.
- Then decide if you would like to email your letter directly to someone you know, or have Sarah Cannon deliver it to a person facing cancer through its community partners.
- Knowing what you know now, write what you would say to yourself when you were touched by cancer, hit “Submit Letter.”
