We are pleased to announce the recent appointment of Jonathan Perlin, MD, PhD, MSHA, HCA Healthcare’s President of Clinical Services and Chief Medical Officer, to the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC).

MedPAC is a nonpartisan agency that provides independent analysis and policy advice to the United States Congress on issues affecting the Medicare program. Congress established MedPAC in 1997 to analyze access to care, cost and quality of care, and other key issues. The commission typically provides two major reports to Congress each year.

Dr. Perlin is one of five new members appointed to the commission by Gene L. Dodaro, Comptroller General of the United States and head of the U.S. Government Accountability Office. The commission is made up of 17 members, each serving a three-year term.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Perlin on this distinguished appointment.

To help us celebrate our 50th year, we’ll share stories here that reflect HCA Healthcare’s mission – above all else, the care and improvement of human life – and our pledge to improve life and make history for the next 50 years and beyond.
