HCA Healthcare patients can now hold their healthcare journey in the palm of their hand with the launch of the new MyHealthONE app. With more than two million total user accounts, the MyHealthONE desktop platform has been an integral part of HCA Healthcare patient care for the past five years. The mobile app, launched this June, gives users the ability to safely view health records and message care teams directly from a smartphone.
With approximately 2,000 sites of care in the HCA Healthcare network, digital connectedness during COVID-19 is key. Whether a patient is having a baby at an HCA Healthcare hospital in Utah, goes to the emergency room in Florida, or has a COVID-19 test at a hospital in Texas, the MyHealthONE app follows them and provides them access to their healthcare history. A mobile messaging feature connects patients to experts who can guide them towards solutions.
“At HCA Healthcare, we’re continually working to move healthcare forward by seeking and embracing innovative approaches to deliver the best healthcare possible,” said Marty Paslick, senior vice president and chief information officer with HCA Healthcare. “The launch of the MyHealthONE app is a shining example of our commitment to improve healthcare through technology.”
MyHealthONE goes mobile
So what does the new MyHealthONE app do? It enables patients, consumers and caregivers to:
- Access clinical records, labs, imaging results, provider reports and discharge summaries from the last 24 months (from Meditech facilities)
- Share clinical documents with providers and caregivers
- Manage a loved one’s care
- Sign up for classes and events
- Pre-register for appointments with auto-populated personal information
- Check in to a CareNow urgent care
- Pay a bill
- Message with our support or nurse teams
- Book an appointment
The mobile app’s strong debut has laid the groundwork for future integrations with other technologies like HealthKit and wearable devices, giving patients even more opportunities to take control of their healthcare journeys.
“Great things happen when we work together. The development and deployment of the MyHealthONE app is truly the result of our IT teams working hand-in-hand with many other departments at HCA Healthcare,” Paslick adds. “I’m so proud of our colleagues in information technology, customer relationship management, digital strategy and marketing operations for creating such a valuable, convenient tool for our patients.”
Thank you to our dedicated teams for driving our digital agenda forward during COVID-19 by providing patients with a seamless and on-demand digital platform to engage in their healthcare.
