Advancing Dr. King’s Beloved Community

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. popularized the term Beloved Community during his lifetime of activism and instilled it with new meaning, sharing his vision for a world of justice, peace and equality for all mankind. Dr. King’s Beloved Community is a place where each person finds what inspires them to make the world a more equitable place. As we continue Dr. King’s legacy this year through the national Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on January 17, we encourage you to participate in activities that advance his idea of the Beloved Community.

Whether you choose to serve virtually or in-person to honor of Dr. King and his legacy, know that what you do – no matter how big or small – will make an impact in your community and an indelible mark on the future.
