TriStar Health, part of HCA Healthcare, recently announced that the HCA Healthcare Foundation has awarded $2.1 million in grants to 89 nonprofit organizations across Middle Tennessee. The grants support trusted community organizations addressing needs that can directly affect health, including access to primary care, dental care, mental health support, food insecurity, housing, education, services for older adults and support for children and families.
Across Middle Tennessee, nonprofit organizations play a critical role in helping people access the care, resources and support they need to live healthier, more stable lives. Through the HCA Healthcare Foundation and TriStar Health’s support, these organizations can continue strengthening programs that support individuals and families during some of life’s most challenging moments.

“At TriStar Health, we know health is shaped by much more than what happens inside a hospital. We are proud to work alongside the HCA Healthcare Foundation and community organizations that understand local needs and have earned the trust of the people they serve. These grants help strengthen programs that remove barriers, support families and create healthier tomorrows across Middle Tennessee.”

In addition to the HCA Healthcare Foundation’s grant funding, TriStar Health supports many of these organizations through colleague volunteerism, student and career shadowing opportunities, shared expertise and leadership service on nonprofit boards. These relationships help connect community organizations with the time, knowledge and support needed to expand their impact.
Recipients include organizations working to meet a wide range of community needs, from education, primary care, health and well-being, arts and other community support programs. Among the organizations receiving grants are STARS Nashville, Faith Family Medical Center, Interfaith Dental Clinic of Nashville, Centennial Park Conservancy, Family and Children’s Service, FiftyForward, Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, Nashville Safe Haven Family Shelter and many others helping individuals and families across Middle Tennessee.
“Communities grow stronger when we work together to meet local needs,” Edgeworth said. “We are proud to support these organizations not only with funding, but with a shared commitment to improving lives in more ways. Their work helps meet people where they are and makes a lasting difference for our neighbors.”
