HCA Healthcare-affiliated physician becomes patient in successful joint replacement

Did you know that more than seven million people in the United States will have a knee or hip replaced during their lifetime?
Last year alone, more than 70,000 people had joint replacement surgery at an HCA Healthcare facility, including Dr. Jeffrey Kozak, a spinal surgeon at Texas Orthopedic Hospital in Houston, TX.
After sustaining a debilitating hip injury, Dr. Kozak underwent hip replacement surgery to restore function and regain his quality of life.
We spoke to Dr. Kozak and his surgeon Dr. Robin Goytia about the effects of joint replacement, how Dr. Kozak’s life has changed since surgery and why he’s finally able to get a good night’s sleep.
